I've been a hairstylist for over 30 years. I graduated from art school ten years earlier and went to hairdressing school to supplement my income as an artist. I had no idea how much I would love doing hair - no idea that it would become a career that I love to this day. I found a creative outlet that suited my outgoing personality to a tee.
There is always more to learn in this business. That's what I enjoy the most. I love keeping up with new styles and trends and working with my clients to find the style that compliments their face shape and lifestyle.
In addition to hairstyling, I now curate a fine arts Gallery in our salon. The GERSH GALLERY at Salon Marcello showcases local artists in revolving shows of about 2 months each. The clients and staff love the changing environment and I find it so rewarding to meet and work with the artist.
